The School is a part of the J. K. Group, which was founded by Lala Lakshmipat Singhania. For nearly three decades, the J. K. Group has been making committed efforts toward disseminating education that not only aims at academic excellence but also helps to develop knowledgeable and socially concerned generations of young Indians. With a judicious blend of academic excellence and co-curricular brilliance, it is a school that looks beyond’. The Academy has been accredited five times by the British Council for international dimension in the curriculum. The pursuit of academic excellence, exemplary co-curricular activities and winning accolades in different fields, all of it has been a reality for nearly three decades. At the Education World 2024-25 Rankings, the Academy emerged as No. 10 in India and No. 1 in Kolkata and West Bengal in the co-educational day school category. Our students have participated in International Space Settlement Design Competition (ISSDC) and have won in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2023 and again in 2024 in Florida, USA. The Academy is also the 1st school in Kolkata to be a member of the organization, ‘ROUND SQUARE’.

International student exchange programs are a regular feature here and we are the learning partners of various schools abroad. The school is also an AFS member school (year-long and short-term exchange programs both for students and teachers). Some notable alumni include Saurav Ghosal, No. 1 squash player in India and No. 10 in the world; Saket Modi, is an ethical hacker and co-founder and CEO of Lucideus Tech, an online cyber security firm; Lakshya Jain, a research scholar at MIT is focused on the pH of the exhaust from engines; Keshav Dhandhania, also an ex-student of MIT, is the co-founder of Common Lounge (Compose Labs) and Eager Panda, both start-ups, Web Consumer Companies, Silicon Valley, California; Pulkit Parolia is a Systems Engineer at Rockwell Collins, USA.

• Montessori – 2+ years (from 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024)
• PS I – 3+ years (from 01.04.2022 to 31.03.2023)
• PS III – 5+ years (from 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2021)
• Class I – 6+ years (from 01.04.2019 to 31.03.2020)

Supporting documents required with the application
