K.E. Carmel School Amtala belongs to K.E. Carmel Group of schools which consists of eight schools namely K.E. carmel CMI school Sarisha, K.E. Carmel CMI School Behala, K.E. Carmel CMI school Sarsuna, K.E. Carmel CMI School Siliguri, K.E. Carmel CMI School Suri, K.E. Carmel CMI School Ghuskura, K.E. Carmel CMI School Bankura and it draws Inspiration from ST. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805 -71), a visionary and a social reformer of divine calibre. Following his vision, CMI congregation has established more than 700 educational institutions all over India and abroad, for educating socially useful citizens with a strong conviction that each one is a precious gift of God.

K.E. Carmel CMI School has its moto: “ To Plant and Nurture ” and KECS stands for “ Value laden kingship, Excellence and Character". Being aware that educational process is the most important human resource development, we open our institution to all, irrespective of sex, cast, colour or faith.
