NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Set up originally in 1913 as “Anglo Tamil School” to cater to the Tamil-speaking people and to promote the cause of education in Kolkata. In 1935, N. R. Iyer Education Society was established to take over the “Anglo Tamil School” and in 1938, the name of the school was rechristened as National High School. In the initial years, it grew under the patronage of illustrious personalities also including Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Nobel Laureate Sri C.V.Raman, who served as the founder and President of the School. The Society caters to school education from K.G. to Higher Secondary.
