Admission Tree (hereinafter "we," "us," or "our") operates an intermediary platform for school admissions. This policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal data of parents and children who use our platform. This policy is governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA"). We evaluate this privacy policy periodically in light of changing business practices, technology and legal requirements. As a result, it is updated from time to time. Any such changes will be posted on this page. If we make a significant or material change in the way we use or share your personal information, you will be notified via email and/or prominent notice.

  • 2. Data We Collect:

We may collect the following personal data for specified, clear, and lawful purposes:

  • Parent/Guardian Data: Name, email address, phone number, address, and other contact information.

  • Child Data: Name, date of birth, age, gender, educational history, and other relevant information.

  • School Application Data: Information provided during the school application process, including academic records and supporting documents.

  • Payment Data: Payment information for application fees or other related charges.

  • Communication Data: Records of communications between you and Admission Tree.

  • Public Activities: Public activities may be included in our RSS feeds, APIs and other distribution formats. As a result, your public activities may appear on other websites, blogs, or feeds. Keep in mind that we are not responsible for any personal information you choose to make public via your public activities, and you agree that such sharing will be deemed to have been done by you, not ABP including but not limited to sharing of information in your connected social media accounts.

  • Contests, Sweepstakes and Special Offers: ABP collects personal information from you when you participate in sweepstakes, contests or special offers. If this information is also being collected by a third party other than ABP, we will notify you at the same time. If you do not want any personal information shared, you should not participate in the sweepstakes, contest or special offer. We may also use Referral Codes as a tool of promotion. If a subscriber refers Admission Tree to someone who has not been a past user and the person referred to subscribes using the Referral Code, then both the Referrer and the person referred to will stand to gain some benefits and/or incentives, as per applicable terms and conditions.

  • Conferences and Live Events: We often receive information about attendees to our live events from sign-in and registration lists. We may share this information with event or promotion sponsors, in which case we will notify you when we collect the information.

    • 3. Purpose of Data Collection:

    We collect your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To facilitate the school admission process.

  • To communicate with you regarding your applications.

  • To process payments.

  • To improve our platform and services.

  • To periodically send email newsletters

    We may share your personal data with:

  • Service providers who assist us in providing our services.

  • Payment processors.

  • Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law.

  • ABP Private Limited for operational oversight and data analysis.

    We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The user might receive certain information and notifications on their registered WhatsApp mobile numbers, in pursuance of the purposes of this privacy policy.     We shall also share updates and notifications through WhatsApp, and if you wish to opt out, you may email us at [email protected] along with your name and phone number.

    • 6. Your Rights Under DPDPA:

    Under the DPDPA, you have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

  • Erase your personal data (subject to certain limitations).

  • Withdraw your consent (where applicable).

  • Grievance redressal.

    We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

    • 8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies:

    We use cookies and similar technologies like beacons, local storage etc. to enhance your browsing experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We may use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on Admission Tree or to display advertising based upon your browsing activity use LSOs to collect and store information. We do not have access to, nor control over, these third parties; use of cookies or other tracking technologies or how they may be used. Your access to Admission Tree should not be affected if you do not accept cookies served by third parties.

    • 9. Governing Law:

    This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of India and meaning of words used herein in connection with the use of Admission Tree unless otherwise specified shall bear the meaning as may be envisaged and interpreted by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules framed thereunder. By registering in Admission Tree, you confirm and waive the applicability of the rules and regulations of the National Do Not Call Register and/or the Private Do Not Call List. You agree to receive promotional messages and alerts from ABP Private Limited, as it may in its sole and absolute discretion decide unless you specifically decide to opt out from such services in a manner as stated hereinbelow.

    • 10. Resolving Privacy Issues

    If you have any queries, complaints regarding the collecting, processing, transfer of personal data/information or regarding this policy please contact our grievance officer. Any complaints, abuse or concerns with regards to the processing of information provided by you or breach of these terms shall be immediately informed to the designated Data Protection Officer as mentioned below via in writing or through email signed with the electronic signature to Data Protection Officer.
