JOSEPH DAY SCHOOL, ENTALLY was established by Mrs. Lucy Yusuf in 1955 and Registered in 1960, at Suresh Sarkar Road. The first principal was Mrs. F. Lord, it was only a kindergarten school.

After this Mrs. V. Wainwright joined the school and is considered the longest-serving principal, under her guidance the school experienced its maturity. Mrs. Das took over the school and was then shifted to its present address, at this stage the present principal Mr. Shahnawaz took charge in 1993, and since then the school has viewed some remarkable changes. The school has now till class XII and admits students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds in all communities.

 

 

THE AIMS OF THE SCHOOL

JOSEPH DAY SCHOOL, ENTALLY aims to impart a stimulating education and exciting extra-curricular opportunities in an environment which is progressive and friendly. 

The students are motivated to be independent, confident, explore their talents and strive for excellence.

 

ACADEMIC YEAR

The scholastic session which starts in the first week of January and ends in the last week of December is divided into three terms. There will be a system of three terminal Examinations in a year 1st Term, 2nd Term and Final term. The students are motivated to focus on extra-curricular activities to ensure that the young minds are trained and developed to acquire knowledge.

 

EXAMINATION SYSTEM

A minimum 40% of marks must be secured in each subject for promotion. Promotion to next class depends upon passing the main subjects like English, Vernacular and Mathematics. Ranking is based on passing in all subjects. Any students failing two years in succession in the same class will be struck off rolls and considered withdrawn and T.C. will be issued along with the report card same rule applies to students who cross their age limit.

DAY SHIFT

• Classes VI to VIII - 11:00 AM to 4:10 PM
• Classes IX to X - 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Classes XI & XII - 11:00 AM to 2:40PM

 

ADMISSION PROCESS & DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

For Pre-Primary Sections - Parents will be given an appointment to meet the school authorities after submission of the Admission Form along with the relevant documents (list below). Parents are requested to carry the original documents to the school on the date of the interaction for verification.

For Classes I to IX - After submission of the Admission Form along with the relevant documents (list below), an admission test (syllabus of admission test will be given) will be scheduled by the school office. Candidates who qualify will be called for an interaction with the school authorities along with their parents. Parents are requested to carry the original documents to the school on the date of the interaction for verification.
