About Us

METAS of Seventh-Day Adventists is a part of the vast array of educational and medical institution run by the Seventh - day Adventist Organization. Worldwide they are operating 5590 educational establishments, including 114 universities and colleges. There are 162 hospitals and sanatoriums as well as 102 nursing homes. This organization also operates 30 training centres, where committed and skilled leaders impart professional training. As part of its commitment to child welfare, the Adventists operate 25 children homes and orphanages. In India we have 8 colleges & 538 schools.

The Adventist School of Seventh-day Adventists was founded in 1942 and is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Organization. It is registered as a participating institution under bye law 29 of the Council of Seventh-day Adventists Educational Institutions, registered under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860, Serial no. 267 of 1972. In 1981 the school was affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, (ICSE) by the Delhi education Act of 1973, passed by the parliament.

The school includes classes from Junior KG to Class XII. The curriculum of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, is followed. The students are prepared for the Indian School Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISC), which are held at the end of class X and XII, respectively. Successful students of ISC can proceed directly to the degree’s pattern of Indian Universities.

Today, the role of school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and empower its students to be life-long learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever- charging global society. We at Metas Adventist School endeavour to create an atmosphere for multifaceted development, where children are encouraged to channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence.

Children are not mere empty notebooks yet to be written upon, rather they, regardless of their age, class, ethnicity or background, have their own individuality, special skills and talents, which we at the school attempt to identify, nurture and encourage.

Children these days are much more sensitive; they possess very high self-esteem and believe in independent thinking. Therefore, we ensure that the approach to motivating and getting the best out of the children is based on the positive reinforcement of good work and good behaviour.

70 years on, it is a matter of tremendous pride and delight to find that some of our students are fourth generation students, their grandparents and parents having graced the portals of this hallowed institution years ago.

We at Metas are confident that the school will always be a beacon of light, guiding the destiny of its students and radiating kindness and compassion as its soars high in its pursuit of academic excellence and in the fulfilment of the school motto: “Non Scholae, Sed Vitae Discimus”- Not for School, but for life we learn.
