ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL BARRACKPORE

Army Public school set sail on its odyssey on 01 April 1998 with 450 students 20 teachings and 5 non-teaching staff, under the patronage of Maj Gen Jitendra Singh VSM the then GOC Bengal area and chairmanship of Brig.MS Dadwal the then station commander of Barrackpore. The school at present has a strength of 3467 students, 120 teachings and 56 non-taeching staff under the patronage of Maj Gen Jitendra Singh, VSM, the then GOC Bengal Area, and Chairmanship of Brig Mrs.Dadwal, the then Station Commander Barrackpore.

ADMISSION DETAILS

The Priorities for admission are as under:-

a) Children of serving Army personnel (including DSC), Children of army widows, and children of that TA personnel who have a minimum of 10 years of embodied service.

b) Children of Army Ex-servicemen, DSC pers retired with a pension from DSC.

c) Children of serving Air force and Naval personnel.

d) Children of retired Airforce and Naval personnel.

e) Children of Ex-army personnel with less than 10 years of service and who do not come under the category of ex-servicemen.

f) Children of civilians paid out of defense estimates,Paramilitary forces including Coast Guard, MES, GREF, TA (when not embodied)

g) Grandchildren of serving / retired army personnel.

h) Other children.
