ASHOK MEMORIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL

Set up in the heart of Faridabad, ASHOK MEMORIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL is a co-educational institution that came into existence in the year 1994 with the idea to impart quality education to unprivileged children. The school has recently completed its successful journey of 25 glorious years. It is affiliated to the esteemed Central Board of Secondary Education.

 The visionaries Lt. Sh. B.L. Sachdeva Ji and Lt. Sh. G.L. Sachdeva Ji established the school to fulfill the long felt need and aspirations of residents of newly developing areas adjoining Delhi and Haryana border, as they believed “Of all things, knowledge is the most precious, being unstealable, unperishable and immortal”.

“Service to humanity is Service to God” This motto of the school is taken from the quote made by Swami Vivekanand, is truly followed by all. It has never commercialized education but continues to remain an institution of service, catering to the educational needs of the economically weaker section of society and making quality education accessible to all.

Health checkup camps, blood donation camps,s and eye checkup camps are annual affairs of the school where expert, super specialist doctors team really work dedicatedly for the weaker section of society.

Free Homeopathic Dispensary and Mata Santosh Devi Sewing Center(with the collaboration of Singer Machines for empowering the EWS women) are successfully run by the school trust.

Students are made aware of Social concerns. Outgoing Class XII every year visits old age home, interact with the people. The school also donates groceries, essential medicines and the necessary items to them. Some students visit every year ‘Can Kids….Kids Can’ cancer hospital where they come face to face with the harsh realities of life. The main motive of these activities is to generate awareness among the youth and sensitize them regarding the ills that plague society.

The students are sensitized regarding our environment and planet Earth by organizing various activities in the school. The school is a part of the ‘Green School Programme’ directed by ‘Environment Unit’, ‘Centre for Science and Environment’ New Delhi and a proud recipient of the “Green School Certificate”. Students are stimulated to become good stewards to Mother Earth. Swachh Bharat cleanliness drive, Say no to Plastic, and Water conservation rallies are integral parts of the school activities. Students themselves made Newspaper bags and distributed in the surrounding areas. Seed balls were prepared by the students to replenish Mother Earth with greenery. Eco-friendly cloth bags distributed to all.

Rain Water Harvesting system and Bio de gradable Waste Recycle System – composting are functioning in the school.

The infinite strength and potential inherent in every child can be manifested as wonderful possibilities in every walk of life. The awakened citizen program initiated by Ramakrishna Mission seeks to empower students in real and tangible ways to develop as enlightened citizens who can stand on their own feet and make responsible choices. The school is following this 3-year program for classes VII, VIII, and IX and students are highly benefitted out of it and realize the vast possibilities within them.

The school is an internationally acclaimed School now. It has organized Student Exchange Programme with “PPMG ‘Akad’ Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” High School Botevgrad Bulgaria. Under this program, our students accompanying teachers visited Bulgaria and their students visited our school.

They experienced different teaching and learning strategies and got exposure to learn about the rich cultures of other countries. It will definitely help them to broaden their horizons.

This institution has created an environment that fosters learning by imbibing values and providing students with opportunities to explore and grow. Children are taught to make their existence a cynosure of service.
