BETHANY SCHOOL, GARCHUK

Bethany School, Garchuk, Guwahati, Assam is a Catholic Minority Institution established and run by the Bethany Educational Society ®Mangalore, which is a registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. This Educational Society runs more than a hundred formal and non-formal schools all over India.

Bethany School was started on 28th January 2000 by the Sisters of The Little Flower of Bethany. In 2022 Bethany School is upgraded to Senior Secondary School. To create a suitable atmosphere for the growth and development of each child and to achieve the goal and objectives of the BES we look forward for the support, co-operation and good will of all the students, parents, guardians and well wishers.

The Goal of our educational endeavor is fullness of life for all, especially the marginalized, the rural poor and girls through an integrated formation, in partnership with God to build His kingdom.

 

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The aim of Bethany School, Garchuk, Guwahati is to transform its students into integrated human beings with holistic development, namely, intellectual, emotional, moral and physical well-being. This will enable them to face the challenges of tomorrow, all the while being firmly rooted in one's culture, faith in God and love of others.

The constant effort of the Management and the well trained staff ensures the integral education of the students and bring out those qualities which are best and noblest in them. Special attention is given to ensure high standard of values with required discipline in the school. It strives to promote patriotism, spirit of National Integration, and pride in our cultural heritage. Scientific outlook, fellowship, team spirit, service to the community and dignity of manual labour are given importance along with intellectual pursuits.

It's our endeavor to form the students into good and honest citizens, worthy of God and our nation, capable of reaching out to the less fortunate brothers and sisters and contributing to the building up of a society based on peace, justice, equality, and human Fraternity.

The course of instruction comprises of all the branches of education prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) and prepares the students for the High School Leaving Certificate (H.S.L.C.) and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) Examination conducted by the Board/Council.
