BHAVAN'S NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE VIDYANIKETAN

 

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, an internationally reputed institution dedicated to the promotion of education and culture, is a charitable public trust founded by Dr. K. M. Munshi on November 7, 1938.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has spread its wings abroad (in United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Portugal, South Africa, Kuwait, Mexico, Singapore and Australia) and besides has a number of affiliated colleges and constituent institutions. 87 out of the 91 Bhavan Schools are in India, and the rest in Kuwait, Doha (Qatar), Bahrain and Abu Dhabi. They truly cover "all aspects of life from the cradle to the grave and beyond - and fills a growing vacuum in modern life", as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru observed when he first visited the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1950.

Bhavan's Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Vidyaniketan, Haldia, A Unit of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, took its step which was the most anticipating and an exciting one holding the hands of the then Director, Dr. K.V. Gopalkrishnan under Kolkata Kendra in 1997. Bhavan's Haldia began its journey within 2 rented quarters in Shakuntala Park Housing, Durgachak. Our school had only 3 students, 2 teachers, a Principal and 2 non-teaching staff, starting from Class I & II. With immense hard work from the pioneer teaching and non-teaching staff with a strong vision of our then Director Dr. K.V. Gopal Krishnan laid its foundation in 1999 at Hatiberia, Azad Hind Nagar proving that every tiny step is a momentous occasion to celebrate later. Soon, we saw prodigious  response from the residents of Haldia and our school started growing ever since. Presently, our school has more than thousand students from Prep I to Class XII and is one of the best schools in Haldia. A Sister concern of our school, Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir - the Kolkata Kendra Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, the name of the school shines like a beacon and has achieved laurels almost in every field.

The first batch for CBSE Examination appeared in AISSE was in 2007 and AISSCE was in 2013. Bhavan's Haldia is one of the most renowned schools of Haldia which actively participates in various social, cultural, educational activities and competitions not just in Haldia or West Bengal but also in various parts of the country. Our impeccable result in CBSE Board Examination and achievements in cultural, social and sports has made it disparate from other schools. We still tend to work diligently and with proper endeavour to get better every day, enduring with new trends, methods by upgrading ourselves to accomplish perfection and a better and brighter future under vision and counselling of our Director Dr. G V Subhramanian.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SEEKING ADMISSION

1. Copy of Birth Certificate (Corporation/Municipality) must be attached with the registration form.
2. Copy of Mark sheets of the previous year should be attached with the registration form. (If Applicable)
3. Copy of Immunization card should be attached with the Registration Form with up to class I.
4. Admission Test will be taken from Class II onwards and Admission Forms along with prospectus are to be purchased before appearing for the Admission Test.
5. Transfer certificate is required from Class I onwards.
