CARMEL SCHOOL, RANI

Carmel School Rani started in 2011, is an English medium School, run by the Sisters of the Apostolic Carmel. It is a Catholic School established and administered by the Carmel Nilaya Society A Catholic School is a Learning Community which has Christ as its Central motivational force.

His values as expressed in the Beatitudes are summed up in the virtues of love, sincerity, justice and freedom which so permeate the atmosphere that persons of all religions feel welcome in loving warmth and cherish even as it challenges.

The medium of instruction at all levels is English. However, Assamese or Hindi is compulsory as second and Third language. Socially useful Productive Work (SUPW) and Work Experience is stressed upon and assessed by the school authorities. Work Experience includes service such as keeping the class rooms and campus in the school clean. This is to enable the child to realize the dignity of labour. Physical exercise, Yoga, Dance, Karate, Singing, Music, Games and Sports, Art, General Knowledge, Service Learning, Literary and Cultural activities and other school activities are part of the general education given to the students. The School has Scouts & Guides, Carmel Blossoms and SPICE CLUB (Spread Peace, Improve and Conserve Environment) Every effort is made to provide education in its fullest sense. There is a library made available for students even on Saturdays. The other infrastructure is computer lab with 30 computers, multi purpose Hall and a well equipped Laboratory.
