Contai Public School is an English Medium Co-Educational School established in 1997 by a group of dedicated educators. The school is affiliated to the Council For Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
Later, in the year 2000, Subhashini Memorial Trust was established by the founder principal Mr. Samarendranath Das to govern the school.
The school’s motto is based on the principle “Wisdom is Truth”.
The school was founded with a vision to spread quality education through English medium.
It’s mission is to cater education, irrespective of social and financial background which is inclusive in true sense.
We believe in developing and inculcating the sense of growing wisdom in the blooming minds influenced and shaped by our motto. Many of our alumni discharging their responsibilities towards the society in various capacities, as sincere citizens of the nation motivated by our vision and mission.
The school is situated at Dakshin Gopinathpur (Junput Road),Contai which is 150 kilometres to the south of Kolkata. Buses ply between Kolkata and Contai at regular intervals of 10/15 minutes and the journey takes about 3 hours. Contai (Kanthi) is also connected by Indian Railways with Howrah, NJP, ASN, VSKP, Puri and many other places. Contai is a historical sub-divisional town of West Bengal located close to the Bay of Bengal.
The school is housed in its own premises in exquisite school buildings. The school offers a clean, happy and safe atmosphere along with modern facilities and educational technology within a traditional Indian cultural and moral framework. Our motto is to serve the society by providing low cost English Medium Education. It aims at imparting value-based education to its students who should, in the first place, be good human beings with perfectly balanced personalities.
