CYRIL ACADEMY

Cyril Academy is one of the wings of CINI.

Child in Need Institute (CINI) is a registered non-government organization (NGO) under the Societies Registration Act and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act in India. We work with over a thousand Indian professionals and are guided by a Governing Body composed of experienced academics and administrators. Founded in 1974 in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), West Bengal, CINI now has operations in the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam and Odisha, and it reaches out to more than 7 million rural and urban population of poor communities. We have been the recipient of prestigious awards and recognition in India and around the world, during our journey in the last four and a half decades.

CINI has been increasingly involved in running education programmes for out-of-school children in slum areas of Kolkata and also with adolescent girls and boys, motivating them to remain in school. We are also working with CSR partners to provide joyful learning, innovative curriculum to make them easily understood by children. We will soon be embarking on an innovative pre-school education intervention in a few districts of West Bengal. Therefore we need a resource centre on education for learning experimentation, which is the Cyril Academy where we improve our skills and knowledge on education.

AGE CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Nursery : 2.5 years to 3.5 years
KG I : 3.5+ years 
KG II : 4.5+ years
Class I : 5.5+ years

SCHOOL TIMINGS

The school session is from April to March.

Staff and student must be in the school by 8.00 am. The office hours 8.30 am to 4.00 pm

The class hours (Timings subject to change) 

Nursery : 8.05 am to 10.15 am

KG I and KG II : 8.05 am to 10.45 am

Class I : 11.15 am to 2:30 noon
