OUR LEGACY
Founded in 1990 by the visionary Late Sri N. D. Grover, and bolstered by Sri L.R. Saini, former Regional Director of DAV Public Schools, DAV Kathara has navigated numerous challenges while steadfastly fulfilling its mission to serve CCL employees and the local community. Guided by the principles of Mahatma Hansraj and Lala Lajpat Rai, we are committed to fostering a holistic transformation in education, character development, and social cohesion.

- Today, our school is home to approximately 2300 students, engaged in a vibrant learning environment that emphasises academic excellence and personal growth. We strive to nurture responsible, productive members of society, promoting skills across academics and co-curricular activities while prioritizing cognitive and emotional development.

Means, “Oh God! Lead us from ignorance to truth, Lead us from darkness to light, Lead us from mortal life to immortality”.
We the team of DAV, being incessant, indefatigable in pursuit of the mantras cited above. This is done by venturing into the domain of education to root out illiteracy of mind and soul. The holistic environment is created to gush forth with a new sense of purpose and direction in response to the Western challenge, emergence of a new socio-economic milieu, and rise of a new middle class. The main aim is to establish knowledge as value, prepare students for living life, and lace national feelings with a global outlook. As a teacher, I feel divine happiness in the success of the students. Here I wish to quote an aphorism-
Whoever excels in whatever we prize, appears a hero in our eyes. A child when pleased with what is taught, always has the teacher in his/her thought”.
