Lions Calcutta Greater Vidya Mandir is a Co-educational school affiliated to the CISCE, New Delhi and is managed by Lions Calcutta Greater Educational Trust. The school is a signature project of the Lions Club of Calcutta Greater committed to providing value-based quality education to all in and around the locality. It is a philanthropic venture which runs with service as its sole mission. The motto of the school is ‘Knowledge is Light’ which reflects the mission of bringing enlightenment into the life of generations to come. The school has a unique policy of hand-holding by the management for those parents who have problems in continuing their child’s education.

What started as a small venture has grown into a sprawling campus with more than 2900 students in its roll at present. The sprawling sylvan surroundings of the school create an ideal ambiance for learning. Lions Vidya Mandir epitomizes team spirit, where every individual works with a sense of dedication and have elevated the school to its present status. Solar panels have been installed as a step towards sustainability and GO - the GREEN concept. The school provides a bus facility for the students.

We have incorporated innovative teaching methods with interactive touch screen smart boards and a progressive curriculum with an emphasis on value-based education. Experiential and cognitive learning is enriched by fully functional libraries, Science, Computer Science, Home Science, Mathematics and Geography Laboratories leading to the continuous and harmonious integration of the best of traditional methods and technology. We strive to cater to every possible interest and talent of each child, thereby encouraging them to excel in art and culture.

With its collaboration with Aakash Digital, the school hopes to prepare students for the various competitive examinations in the National and International levels. Care is taken at a personal level to ensure that no child is left behind. The assessment and evaluation system of the school is broken into small unit tests and internal assessments to alleviate the stress of learning among students.

At Entry Level : Children are admitted to the school at 3+ years. "Registration and Admission" forms are enclosed with the prospectus.
