Modern Public School is a co-educational English medium Public School from Class Kg to X, controlled by Mica Kalyan Samitee, a registered body under the Indian Societies Registration Act.

Learning through environment is the keynote of a sound system of education and we, at Modern Public School have dedicated ourselves in educating young boys and girls keeping in mind that “MAN IS THE IMAGE OF GOD ".

Since its inception, the institution has fully devoted itself to create an atmosphere of religious harmony and national solidarity based on mutual understanding. Established in 1991 and affiliated to C.B.S.E., it is an English Medium School imparting education in the technical and modern ways. Modern Public School is the rising sun on the educational horizon spreading education in its sincere and real ways around far and near regions of its location at Jhumri Telaiya. The school has become a symbol of prestige and pride of Koderma.

Nestled in Koderma valley in the heart of the township of Telaiya is Modern Public School aptly described as the paradise of Peace and Tranquility. It is less than 2 kilometers from Koderma Railway Station and falls on Ranchi-Patna Highway. Telaiya is less than 70 km from Gaya and around 55 km from Hazaribag. Communication is easy both by road and by rail.

The school's motto " Aatma Deepo Bhava " - Enlighten your inner-self has a much deeper and wider interpretation. Each and every person has been bestowed upon with vast potentialities which they need to realize and explore. The school aims at developing this faculty to the greatest extend possible. In MPS, learning is a celebration, I am proud to be the Principal of this school which has nurturing educators, caring staff and wonderful students who are very important part of the "MPS Family."
To quote Socrates, "I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think," If we think, if we make up our mind and stay decided, success is sure to come. As said, the past is history, the future is a mystery,the present is a present. So we must fully utilize the gift (present) and aim high in life to become the best. It is very important that we know what we want in life. If we do not know what we want, the question of getting it does not arise at all.
We must, therefore, have a goal and "Forge Ahead" to realize it. The waves forge ahead to touch the shore, The rains forge ahead to reach the land, the birds to fly in the sky, We forge ahead to empower women, through educating all. We forge ahead to build a strong character by blending culture and modernity, for peace and a purposeful life. We forge ahead to create an ambiance contributing to a healthy education that nurtures a positive outlook that is morally becoming of a global citizen with Indian values.
