NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

The school was set up originally in 1913 as "Anglo Tamil School" to cater to the Tamil speaking people and to promote the cause of education in Kolkata. In 1935 N.R.Iyer Memorial Eduaction Society was established to take over the "Anglo Tamil School" and in 1938 the name of the school was rechristened as National High School. In the initial years it grew under the patronage of illustrious personalities whic also include Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Noble Laureate Sir C.V. Raman who served as the founder president of the school. The school caters to education from Nursery to Higher Secondary. The Nursery, KG and Primary sections are housed at 3 lansdowne Terrace.
