NICHOLS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL

NICHOLS HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL is a co-educational institution run by the Guwahati Baptist Church in the name of Miss. Ethel E. Nichols, aretired American Missionary, who had spent forty years of her life in Assam, mostly in Guwahati, in the field of education and had contributed a generous gift for its establishment. The school was housed in one of the old mission bungalows at the Council of Baptist Churches in North-East India (CBCNEI) premises at Panbazar, Guwahati with Miss. Constance Anbu as the first Headmistress. The school was shifted from its Panbazar premises to its present site in the year 1975. By then, the school has grown from the Primary level to the present full-fledged Higher Secondary School. The School stand in its own premises with a playground of its own.
