The Name of the School is 'OAKLAND ENGLISH SCHOOL, The School has been established by Mrs. Sakuntala Deka in 1994. The school is recognised under SEBA.

The School emblem depicts a Swan Sunrise and a Lotus.

The LOTUS represents the purity of life necessary to achieve knowledge and virtue-the idea of our life.

The Sunrise represents knowledge from darkness towards light.

The Swan represents Goddess of learning.

The name Oakland signifies the strength of knowledge, character and personality building of students.
