SOUTH POINT SCHOOL

South Point School is run and managed by the South Point Education Society, which is part of the M P Birla Group of Companies and Institutions. It was founded by the Late Satikanta Guha and the Late Pritylata Guha in 1954. South Point, as it is today, is a large family comprising about 11,500 students, 475 teachers and 260 members of non-teaching staff. It has the distinction of being mentioned as the world's largest school in the Guinness Book of World Records (1984 - 1992).

One of the premier schools of Kolkata, South Point has been known for its academics, as well as, extra curricular activities. Education at South Point is a delightful pool of academics, sports, fests, celebrations, excursions and a seamless interaction among the faculty, the pupils and the guardians. The goal is actually to inspire Pointers to strive beyond boundaries. A look at the South Point alumni proves the point.
